Male patient, early 30’s: “You guys saved my life!” After the volunteer doctor made extraordinary efforts to meet weekly and monitor/stabilize new diagnosis of diabetes. Patient had been discharged from ICU with no insurance, was starting a new job but insurance hadn’t yet become active.
Medicare eligible elderly man: Isolated in home, needed wound care. Established him with Medicare, healthcare provider and Meals on Wheels.
