PATIENT TESTIMONIALS

“My thinking has changed now because I have felt accepted, I’m not alone, and I know I have access to medical care and that reduces my stress. My presupposition changed positively because I have access to care, good medical care, and with nice people helping me along. I feel welcomed.”

“The compassion I receive at the Free Clinic is wonderful. You can tell the people legitimately care about you and their sole purpose is to help you. This is felt when you come in the front door all the way until you are leaving from your appointment. You always see a smile on a friendly face.”

Alberto, a patient of the clinic, says “The Free Clinic saved my life. I was very sad.” He moved to the United States (came from Mexico City) to live with his sister and her family in Vancouver. He got sick and started getting treatment for arthritis. It worsened when he came here. He started going to physical therapy. He initially came to the US to become a teacher but got so sick that he was unable to even walk without a walker or a cane. He came to the Free Clinic and Project Access transferred him to Kaiser. “They are all so good and kind.” Now he is walking, slowly recovering and feeling better emotionally too.
