North by Northeast Community Health Center is the only medical clinic in Oregon devoted to African American/Black health. We exist to improve health outcomes and advance health equity by providing primary care services and health education and promotion focused on the African American/Black community.

Ms. Lisa: After years of anxiety over starting blood pressure medication, Ms. Lisa was admitted to the hospital for heart failure. NxNE staff reached out to her daily, visited her in the hospital, and ensured when she was discharged that, we enrolled her in our hypertension program. During the program she was finally able to get her blood pressure under control. “They go to bat for all of it because they love the community and they know that health is about everything!”
